We did it again!

Saturday 20th November saw Aglow across the Nation Raising a Hallelujah to our wonderful Lord. Together we celebrated the wonderful works of His hands in our lives during 2021. As a company of praying women and men we had / have much to celebrate, and celebrate we did, in words, worship and thanksgiving. We were privileged to hear some wonderfully encouraging words from Mrs Jenny Walker, ex Commissioner in the Salvation Army Australia.

Jenny posed the question to us; In what ways are you limiting God in your life? and then stated, Limitation's reduce our ability to reach our potential in God.

Jenny suggested three ways we could be limiting God in our lives.

  1. Failure to trust God. Why are we worried and stressed? Give our issues to God in prayer. 1 Peter 5:7 and Proverbs 3:5-6.

  2. Failure to believe He will answer our prayers. We need to be persistent in our prayers, be tenacious, keep asking. Do we REALLY believe He will answer ? 1 John 5:14-15.

  3. We limit God through our expectations 2 Kings 4 The blessing of the oil was limited by the number of jars collected to fill, not the amount of oil available to fill the jars. It is our expectation that limits Gods generosity toward us, not His ability to bring blessing. Romans 5:5.

Jenny encouraged us to 'ask big' and to 'trust bigger' because this pleases the Lord.

Jenny concluded by encouraging us to lift up our eyes from where we are, look up, look beyond our circumstances and see what God has planned for us as individuals.

Step into 2022 expecting more, expecting bigger because He is willing and able to do more than we ask or expect.

Try Him!

Four wonderful Aglow women shared testimonies of the blessings they have received from the Lord this year. We all gave thanks to God with them. Praise the Lord for His goodness!

One thing is for sure, God is at work among us. In the midst of the uncertainty surrounding us, one thing we can all be sure of is that He is right here with us, guiding us, encouraging us and loving us. We are never alone! Praise God.

We ended our meeting singing Raise a Hallelujah, and we did just that! we Raised a Hallelujah to the Most High God! And it was good!
