Dear Aglow Family,
Where has the month gone since we last connected? It seems to all be moving so fast and here we are now, right on the cusp of April. (I won’t tell you how many months until Christmas!)
Let me share a little of what the Lord’s been impressing upon my heart over the last few weeks as we embark on this new Aglow season together.
Since the Lord provided the theme ARISE for 2025, it’s opened a very large door in the Spirit for Aglow Australia.
I am aware that there’s been a heightening of activity for things we don’t yet see, where those two previously mentioned components are still relevant – birthing and establishing. In fact, it’s a multiple birthing of what’s sensed to be a much larger build than anticipated. (No wonder the Father’s been impressing upon us to actively prepare for this new land we’ve now crossed into – a land that’s actually been marked for us by Him.)
It feels like there’s an overhauling of what was required for our past season, for that which is now to fit with perfect precision for what the Lord’s purposing ahead.
As a result, we are mindful that none of this process can be presumed nor hastened, as we wait for our Beloved to reveal each incremental step that’s to be developed and outworked. This said, there are two immediate points that the Lord’s highlighting for this particular time.
First, that He’s been increasingly revealing we are a forerunning movement. As shared previously, one who will be instrumental in helping lead revival and reformation within our own nation, as well as impacting others.
Secondly, I’m very aware of an ‘agitation’ in my spirit regarding the pending Federal election on May 3. The Lord’s been impressing upon my heart that as a warrior army of intercessors, we are to arise and actively stand against the enemy’s plans and tactics through prayer.
As we know, elections are always milestone periods in the history of any nation which put clear markers in the foundation and future of that country.
"What’s voted in, is what’s valued. And what’s valued becomes established belief systems that are then secured by policy and put into practice.
Unfortunately, many of the wider Body believe that this conversation among Christians becomes too ‘political.’
Instead, it’s not about any one party. It’s not about a politician. It’s simply about believers taking a stand, by how they vote and pray against policies that oppose God’s righteousness and values.
Why? Because we know the enemy shows up in legislation and the strongholds they create.
For that reason, I come back to Aglow’s emerging call where through intercession, partnerships and other avenues, we will be instrumental in helping impact those ‘seven mountains’ that shape and control a nation through revival and reformation. i.e., ‘Re-forming’ these core spheres that influence society i.e., Government, Business, Faith, Family, Entertainment, Education and Media.
As an intercessory movement, He’s calling us to, therefore, arise in declaration prayer over those sectors which are spiritual gates, because together, we’re gatekeepers of His righteousness.
It's critical, given that the outcome of our Federal election will open doors and put into motion what determines the future of our nation. And that means the future of the next generation, being our children and grandchildren.
I value a comment by Lance Wallnau who notes references to signet rings in the Word – in particular, Haggai 2:20-23: “20 The word of the Lord came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month: 21 “Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I am going to shake the heavens and the earth. 22 I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
On that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
We're His signet ring that “can take the authority we have and imprint it in the ‘soft wax’ of the situation we’re in, authorising Heaven to go on our behalf.” (Lance Wallnau.)
That’s a wonderful metaphor. Our declarations being imprinted firmly upon the issue we’re praying into, which symbolises our authority and partnership with Him.
Sharing what the Lord was putting on my heart with some in leadership recently, I had a picture of us swiftly mounting a strong horse heading for the battlefield which was then confirmed as a warhorse.
The bottom line is that in the times we’re now in, we’re at war spiritually with what wars with our nation and the future of our next generation. But we’re also at war in another way, where Christians risk becoming passive about taking a clear and delineated line for Him.
So in closing, the following is an article from Francis Frangipane recently released https://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word.html?ID=32325 ‘When Kings go out to Battle.’
While referring to King David, of whom “during a time of war, allowed a passive spirit into his soul” through his encounter with Bathsheba, the point was that we ourselves are in a time of war today where we can’t afford to become passive.
Is 42:13: The Lord will march out like a champion; like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
As Francis says, “The Spirit of God is calling us to fight for our souls as well as our families, churches and cities. Let’s not become passive in a time of war. Rather, let us fight for our nation, our cities, our families and our own souls. It is time for kings to go to war.”
It’s for all these reasons that this newsletter coincides with our 'Watchmen Prayer Alert' so that together, we can pray in a targeted and informed way.
Lastly, stay tuned as we’ll also be introducing at our next Keeping Informed meeting (April 9), a powerful prayer Mapping concept to ensure we have our nation fully covered.
Let’s arise and declare for our God and His righteousness!
