Taree Aglow Meeting – 11 April

At our meeting on 11 April, we gathered to celebrate Jesus, our Passover Lamb. It was a special day shared with five invited guests, bringing the total number of attendees to 18.
As is our tradition, our ladies contributed to a bring-and-share lunch—but this time with a twist. We brought items for a traditional Passover Seder meal, including:
Matzah (unleavened bread)
Horseradish (bitter herbs)
Charoset – a sweet mixture of apple, nuts, and grape juice representing both the mortar the Israelites used in Egypt and the blood Jesus shed for us
Lamb meat, symbolizing the lambs sacrificed during the first Passover and Jesus, our ultimate sacrificial Lamb
Some ladies also brought meaningful items from Israel—special Passover plates, a traditional Jewish prayer shawl, and a candelabra, enhancing the atmosphere. We also listened to songs by Joshua Aaron, sung in both English and Hebrew, which added a beautiful, worshipful element to the celebration.
As part of the service, we read the story of the original Passover in Exodus 12, along with New Testament readings, including the moment John the Baptist identifies Jesus as the Lamb of God—our perfect, sinless sacrifice.
Each person received a booklet containing the readings, as well as explanations of the symbols and their significance in the Seder meal.

Although we didn’t have children present—who traditionally play an important part in the Seder—we honored them in spirit. We wrote the names of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on slips of paper and placed them in a bowl. These were later blessed as part of the proceedings.
In a joyful twist, our eldest member, Fran (aged 93), participated in the tradition where the youngest child normally searches for the hidden Matzah. Fran searched for the broken Matzah, which represents the Messiah—pierced for us and still hidden from many.
Many attendees commented on how blessed they felt to participate in this meaningful and joy-filled celebration.
With love,
Oh this delights my heart .
Beautiful Fran , she cared for the children when Aglow opened in Taree . Many mornings Fran would teach the children the same message as our guest speaker!!!! She is a very precious woman of God . ❤️
