In Memoriam: Kath Parry
In May, we farewelled a mighty woman of God.
Kath Parry was a beautiful Aglow sister who touched many lives with a wealth of knowledge of her Lord and spent many hours praying for all. She joined Aglow in 1978 and was still an active member of Aglow until she went home to be with the Lord on the 19th May 2020.
Totally committed to Aglow, Kath served on committee on both the Sunshine Coast Night Aglow and Maroochydore Aglow respectively for most of those 42 years, in a variety of positions. Most notably, she was President of Maroochydore Aglow from 1998 to Dec 2015.
Kath was highly respected by all who knew her and was well sort after as a speaker at other Aglow fellowships. Kath was called upon, with her committee, to organise two state retreats at Noosa Heads. She was also part of a trekking team in 2012 to the outback in which she was the driver. She was also one of our “Granny Smith” in an outreach to Nambour as the Olympic torch came through in 2000.
Kath was a faithful woman of God who will be greatly missed.
