June Happenings in the National Office

The month of June has been a busy one for all at Aglow Australia. Two of our wonderful board members, Carol and Ruth, visited the office in preparation for the board meeting that was held on Friday 7th of June, we always enjoy their input and encouragement.

Liz, accompanied by Carol, travelled to the town of Gidgegannup (approximately 50km from Perth CBD) for Aglow Gidgegannup's June meeting. Both enjoyed getting out of the city into the country. It was a cold day, and the wood fire burning brightly was just lovely! It was a very special time, sharing together in worship, opening the word of God and fellowship. Thank you, Lyn and all the team, at Gidge.

Saturday 7th of June found us all gathered for the Perth Regional Day. What an awesome day of worship and celebration! Ned Davies and Maria Stafford led us in a time of worship that transported us all to the very throne room of God. Oh, if only we could stay in that place forever!

Kerry-Ellen was our speaker before lunch and brought a stirring message on “Aglow Changing the Atmosphere”. Moving from the Pastoral to the Apostolic and Prophetic, that we are called to serve the purposes of God on earth. Kerry-Ellen emphasised the importance of being uncomfortable in our service to God - that, if as leaders in Aglow, we weren’t uncomfortable, we should be! Why? Because there is nothing comfortable about being on the cutting edge of what God is doing, and that is where Aglow is… on the cutting edge!

Judging by the level of conversation over the delicious soup at lunch everyone had a time of wonderful fellowship. It is always such a treat to see the beloved faces of Aglow men and women at our regional gatherings, ones we may not see for ages and yet slot straight back into loving chat.

After lunch we were given a massive treat, Margaret Whiteley - what a joy she is! Margaret spoke to us about the Court Room of Heaven. Margaret explained about the court of heaven itself, how we all have a book written by God containing His plan for our lives. She also explained about how the enemy stands in the court room of heaven and accuses us with lies and manipulation of the truth. He wants us to fail and never attain the promises God has written about us. Margaret shared how we must repent, and, through Jesus as our advocate, stand before the Judge to receive His verdict. Margaret concluded her message with a time of prayer in which we all joined hands, as one.

Kerry-Ellen travels to New South Wales for Regional Days in Auburn and Newcastle to round out the month. We pray God moves in new and mighty ways as you gather to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
