Perth Night Aglow celebrated 25 years in April with a banquet of food, Kerry-Ellen as guest speaker and powerful worship. The history of Perth Night was covered by current Group Leader, Marion, as she honoured the past leadership teams who had led Aglow Perth Night over the years.
Aglow Perth Night has a heart for the lost and the community, and recently went on a trip to Moora, a town two hours north-east of Perth.
Susan, a Perth Night member who went on the trip to Moora wrote the following report on the day:
"We were presented with an opportunity to have a day of fellowship with an amazing group of ladies who live in Moora.
With no agenda in place, the day was in God’s hands totally. His presence ushered in a fresh anointing of love and hope and healing throughout the day.
The presence of the Holy Spirit was evident as each one began to share from their heart. One shared about relevant issues surrounding their township, whilst others shared more personal issues.
I am certain the women of Moora received much more than they were expecting from God. His glory filled the house we visited, giving the ladies words of encouragement, also some receiving healing. I believe it was due to the obedience of acting on the prompting of the Holy Spirit that God had His way throughout the day.
Country women know how to create a welcoming atmosphere, from the moment we stepped into the home of one of the Moora ladies there was such a spirit of joy that continued all day. They were so gracious in supplying morning tea, then before we knew it lunch was being served. Oh so much food, very yummy indeed!
How important it is that we extend an invitation to fellowship with others. One never knows what God is going to do in the midst of the sharing with each other. God will challenge us to step out of our comfort zone, we need to be more diligent in rising up to the challenge He sets before us.
It reminds me of the scripture: Hebrews 10:25 - Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
