I have recently returned from the International Board of Directors (IBOD) meetings in Seattle and I want to share a significant moment with you as I also bring my Easter greetings.
Having had an outstanding Jubilee Conference in Richmond VA (USA) in September where God spoke clearly into the future of Aglow, Jane (Hansen Hoyt) followed the leading of the Lord "to bring all of the moving parts" of Aglow together for the first two days in Seattle.
For IBOD members It was wonderful to join with the US Regional and State Leaders, Ministry Leaders of Prayer, Men of Issachar, Transformations as well as every member of the staff.
On the first day we met in a lovely Church facility but early the next morning we were told the meeting was moved back to the office.
As Jane opened the morning she expressed her gratitude for the use of the church facility but overnight she felt the tug of the Spirit to come back "to the place where you have built your altar of worship."
This strongly witnessed to my spirit.
The meeting room in HQ though not as convenient in size, has been the place filled with the presence of the Lord as Aglow International worships, prays and waits on God in this space over so many years.
I would like to ask you:
"Where is your altar of worship you have built with the Lord?"
It could be in a bedroom, a garden space or by a river but it is the place where you meet with the Lord "in the cool of the evening," as expressed in Genesis. I encourage us all to go to our altar of worship over this Easter period to commune in worship, soak in the word and listen for His voice.
We all know the life and hope that was purchased for all at Calvary with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
"But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved.)
For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2: 4-6
All at the National Office pray for a blessed Easter for each of you and send our love.
