Meet the Aglow Australia National Office Team
Last year saw major changes in the Aglow International Australia National office, with Glenda and Dawn retiring. But it was also a time of great excitement, as Michelle, Liz , Nicole and Julia started working in the National Office!
Let's take some time to introduce all the current members of the Aglow Australia National Team so you can re-aquaint yourself with some familiar faces and perhaps meet some new ones!
KERRY-ELLEN LOGAN
National President
It is Kerry-Ellen’s heart cry, “to see the lame, broken and cast down healed, restored and set free.”
Kerry-Ellen is a passionate woman of the Spirit, sensitive to His voice and obedient to His call.
As National President of Aglow International Australia she travels extensively across the nation speaking at Branch meetings, encouraging the leadership and building relationships with the women and men. She has visited Far East Russia, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific Region leading Retreats and Conferences, ministering to women and men, pastors and community leaders.
Kerry-Ellen has a prophetic and apostolic call on her life.
She is called of God to do extraordinary things in His name in her role as National President as well as wife, mother and grandmother.
Kerry-Ellen was called to lead the Aglow ministry as National President of Aglow International Australia in 2005. In 2011 she was appointed to the Board of Directors of Aglow International.
She and husband Brian reside in Perth, Western Australia.
MARILYN GRAVE
Executive Board Secretary
Marilyn is generally ‘the voice at the end of the ‘phone’ in the National Office managing the general office administration, and is personal assistant to the National President.
Marilyn joined the Aglow International Australia Board in 2005 as Board Secretary. She served on the Executive Committee of Perth Night Aglow for some years prior to the National Board moving to Perth.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Marilyn has lived in Perth for 47 years. She enjoys visiting her son and family in Hobart as often as she can and delights to have her daughter and family living here in Perth.
Her passion is to encourage women to seek God to know and understand their God-given talents and giftings. For them to be fulfilled in their womanly attributes as God intended and for His Kingdom purposes.
ELIZABETH (LIZ) BARLAS
Branch Administrator
Liz assists and supports Aglow Australia branches in their administration, while also providing communication and marketing materials to all branches. She is the go-to person for branch questions that are not finance related. She joined the National Office team in 2017, spending the year being mentored by Dawn before taking over full branch administration responsibilities after Dawn’s retirement.
After experiencing the love and acceptance of Aglow through friendships with Aglow women, Liz attended her first Aglow meeting in 2013 and found an instant connection, a place she could call home.
Liz is originally from Perth, and has been married to her husband, Steve, for over 35 years. Their son is married and lives in Tennessee, USA while their daughter is also married and living in Perth.
Liz would like every person to live the life God intended, that they find the place where they fit, the place where they can blossom. She feels Aglow is where she fits – the place where she has found acceptance, love and encouragement, and it is this gift she would like to share with everyone.
MICHELLE DUNCAN
Finance Administrator.
Michelle is responsible for the management of Aglow International Australia’s finances. She joined the Aglow National office in January 2017 as Finance Assistant, then took on the role of Finance Administrator after Glenda retired in September 2017.
As the second generation of strong Aglow women in her family, Michelle has been involved in Aglow for over 40 years, Michelle served on the executive committee of Gosnells Aglow for a year before moving to the National Office.
Born and raised in Perth, Michelle has been married to David for 31 years and has 3 adult children. Two of her children are married and in November 2017 Michelle and David were blessed to welcome their first grandchild into the world.
Michelle has a heart “to encourage women to chase after God and to trust Him despite the circumstances we find ourselves in”.
NICOLE PARNABY
MYOB Administrator
Nicole joined the Aglow team in August 2017, specialising in MYOB software and assisting Michelle in her finance role.
She has grown up in the Catholic faith and enjoys singing in the church folk group since she was 13 years old. She is happily married to her husband Jon of 25 years and they have 3 beautiful children, who are truly a blessing from God.
She is looking forward to serving our Lord and the many devoted members of Aglow.
JULIA MCKINLEY
Web Consultant
Julia is responsible for managing the Aglow Australia website and Facebook page, as well as publishing the monthly newsletter. She also provides technical and communication assistance to the National Office.
Julia grew up in Aglow, attending meetings with her mum when she was young. She became a member of Canberra City Aglow as an adult in 2006, and helped to start a Generations group there with her mum in 2011. Julia has also provided assistance at Aglow retreats and conferences.
In 2015 Julia took on the role of managing Aglow Australia’s website and Facebook page from her home in Melbourne. In 2017, she and her family moved to Perth, allowing Julia to continue her work from the Aglow office.
Originally from Canberra, Julia now lives in the Perth with her husband, Ben, and two young children.
Julia has a heart to spread Aglow’s love and passion for the Holy Spirit to all ages, to see more people, especially young adults, grow in God’s freedom and love.
