Christmas Greetings from the National Office

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that latter time forth, even for evermore.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Although these verses are very familiar, I felt a leap within my spirit as I read the words “Wonderful and Counsellor.” Sometimes these words flow together as “Wonderful Counsellor” depending on the version one is reading.

These words reveal the One who dwells within us, Who never leaves us and is always ready to guide us and give us peace.

At this time of celebrating the birth of Christ and enjoying holidays may we take time to extend His love and favour and grace to all we meet.
