Aglow Holds First Regional Day in Sydney

Aglow International Australia has been stepping out in a new direction this year, replacing 3 day retreats in each state, with one day conferences in regions around Australia instead.

These Regional Days are free to attend and allow the opportunity for people who have never been to Aglow to experience Aglow for themselves. It is also an opportunity for Aglow members, past and present, to gather together for teaching, encouragement and fellowship. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first Aglow meetings in Australia, and so the Regional days have also been an opportunity to celebrate what God has done in Aglow throughout those 40 years.

The first Regional day for the year was held in Sydney in May, with guest speakers Kerry-Ellen Logan and Lynore Geia.

Vicki, from Maitland Aglow, said the aspects she found significant from the day were “…the open heaven and mandate God has given us for the Indigenous population of Australia and the incredible heart for this that Kerry-Ellen has.”

Vicki goes on to say, “Lynore was stunning as she presented what God had asked her to do, and it required an enormous amount of grace and humility for her to do it. Bless God for the power of His Spirit within us to do the impossible!”

Vicki was surprised at the sense of refreshing she received out of God’s presence at the regional day. “For me there was a tangible sense of love and acceptance that I didn’t even know I needed till I experienced it there. It felt like a big hug after what has been a busy time of trial and perseverance that has been my season just of late.”

Regional days are being held all over Australia in 2015. To see if there is a Regional Day coming up in your area, see the Events page of the Aglow International Australia website.
